Laser Cut Christmas Ornament

Here's a Christmas ornament based on one of LAHobbyGuy's (https://lahobbyguy.com/) ornaments.

It's designed to be cut from an 8"x11.5" piece of 1/16" plywood. There are two identical ornaments. The cut settings work on my 60W OMTech laser. Your mileage my vary.

I split it into 4 parts. Here are the cutting/engraving instructions:
1. Set the blue layer to output and turn off all the other layers. Engrave the blue layer.
2. Optional: Put green powder coating into the "Christmas 2022" engraving. Engrave the blue layer again making sure the air is off. Blow/brush off the excess powder coating.
3. Alternative: If you elect to not use the powder coating, you can engrave/cut the blue, black, and red layers all at once.
4. Without moving the sheet of plywood, flip over the first shape- the one with "Christmas 2022."
5. Optional: Turn off the blue, black, and red layers so they don't output. Set the green layer to output. Change the email address to your address. Engrave the green layer on the back side of the "Christmas 2022" shape.
6. Glue the layers together with "Christmas 2022" on the bottom, then the moose, then the snowflakes, then the ring.

By splitting the original ornament into 4 parts and gluing them together, it gives the ornament depth.

7. I spray the finished ornament with polyurethane or clear lacquer. I put a 1/8" ribbon through the hole and tie it into a loop large enough to slip over a tree branch.

I got the plywood and ribbon on Amazon. Below is the Lightburn file for this ornament. Feel free to make and sell your own; neither I nor the Louisiana Hobby Guy mind.

Enjoy!
